Cloud computing is a common choice for the deployment of a plethora of applications. However, as services become more and more complex, the management of cloud infrastructures becomes a major challenge. Our research aims to addresses the main issues of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) cloud systems complying with the upcoming Software-Defined Data Center paradigm. Specifically, the research activities will focus on the study and proposal of innovative solutions with regard to the following main issues:
